A reputable motor shop will rn a compression test and pull the valve covers for a couple hours labor!! Good insurance on a big investment!! Good luck with the deal, if all is in good shape it...

about 4MPH faster with the SS hull (motor for motor)
about 1000 lbs heavier with the SS hull
freeboard is about 8 in....
