All I can say is I see all the Skaters without rub rails back at Skater for repair. I can't imagine not having a rub rail. May look cleaner, but not user friendly.

The Dewalds are worth the extra money; the Dewald 4 blades are faster then the three blade mercs, get on plane easier, and most importantly 4 blades are lot easier on your lower units then 3 blades....
