Congrats on the boat. Maybe I will see you out and about the Chesapeake, Outlaw is a great boat for the Bay as it handles the rough really well, several running around my area on the Elk River.

I had a 1987 Baja 22 Force and now have a 1991 Baja 260, both got the same problem, replaced steering cable each time and problem fixed.

Looks like there is Eddie Marine, Livorsi and Dana to choose from. Would I need and should I replace throttle and shift cables? Seems like most new boats come with Livorsi.

One of my good friends had the same boat, no way 67 mph with the stock 260HP, his was worked and would do barely 60. I wouldn't want to think about 100 mph on that hull, no way is that boat designed...

On West marine the lake version gets great...

On West marine the lake version gets great reviews 5 stars while the Nautic version gets 1 star, Garmin 541 gets 4 stars. Lake version of Lowrance is no good for me.

Same diesel that's supposed to go into the 1500 Ram, guess it will be approx the same bump in price. Interested to see what the tow ratings are. The V6 Jeep is 5000 lbs and V8 is 6000 lbs currently.

So the 260 is 26 ft before the swim platform and this one is 25ft so it will probably have a smaller cockpit? Then this one is probably a 250 ES. The cockpit space is very inportant in my decision....
