your rite, the alarms started shortly after impeller went to pieces..the laptop showed it reporting 40 lbs of pressure and its only supposed to be about 6lbs.
$99.95 plus labor

This year after purging all water out and pulling the blue plugs,and them reinstalling them, I ran rv antifreeze with ear muffs and then just left it in there.Won`t be a dry start next year..its good...

Last year, when I winterized it was good for below zero..Ive had a bad heat exchanger before and all the fluid in the resevoir was lake water..This is still the color of antifreeze.

Antifreeze 496

When winterizing I checked the antifreeze and it was only good to 15 degrees..Prestone dexcool.

Its still pink in color but it must of got duluted down with lake water which means my heat...

Still fighting alarms...Went out for 2hrs of solid running with no problems or alarms..then the 2 beep every 60 seconds came back, but this time when i went up to 4000 rpms the alarm went...

U may have a bad sensor or connection on the heat sensor thats on the sea water pump..Had the same alarm symptom, 2 beeps every min..Temp gauge never went past 175 however.If u disconnect that sensor...

If you have any sand or mud in there it will hold moisture and freeze ..resulting in a new heat exchanger...$750 plus..

U forgot to pull the 3 blue plugs out and remove the end caps from the heat exchanger.

Thats definitly the problem, as soon as I disconnected that sensor the 2 alarms started up...The connector looked fine ,however...I`ll have to wait and see if alarms come back before I buy a new...

Sounds like same thing that happened to me,had a seawater impeller fail and shortly after that the 2 alarm trouble started..
I`ll double check that sensor on the pump...did u replace yours...

Heres a new twist to this alarm puzzle...We were out 5 hrs Friday with NO alarms, then Saturday (Temp. much hotter that day) it started the 2 beep alarms again..Noticed I cud shut off engine, but...

I had the same intermittant problem during some really hot days last month..No luck on any forums on a fix for it except to get a scan tool...All gauges were fine and it ran fine, just a 2beep alarm...

My friend in buying a new 38 ft.performance boat with twin 525s..The dealer has told him he needs to run 100 Octane every 3rd tank and 93 the rest of the time...
What is the reason behind running...

The heat exchanger will tend to hold water after pressurization....I ran RVAF thru mine this year and then pressurized it...Removed blue plugs and heat exchanger end caps..

If your heat exchanger is cracked..the antifreeze will disappear out the back of the boat and be replaced by lake water...It will never overheat..

add stabilizer,run 5 gals of rv thru the ear muff,then pressurize the system to exspell the rv antifreeze, after u fill water seperator with 2 cycle to smoke it down,
remove blue plugs and end caps...

Dealer found crack in Heat Exchanger..which resulted in Antifreeze going out and lake water coming in..
