A good synthetic like Mobil 1 can handle sustained temps over 300F for hours. Amsoil or Redline can do the same among others. Mobil 1 in particular handles high temperatures very well.

V-Twin is another great oil. A bit more robust than the 15w-50.

Amsoil is a blender. They buy additives and base oils from various suppliers, including ExxonMobil. Their additive packages come from www.lubrizol.com for many of their oils.

Amsoil makes a fine oil. Hatco actually developed the first API synthetic oil for Amsoil. Amsoil is just a blender, they do not make any additives or base oils.
