I have to agree. running an extra .002 isn't gonna hurt a thing. reguardless of type cooling.
With the likely hood JE is calling for .005, going to .007 is actually ideal in my book.

That combo would make 650 hp...

You need to know temp of oil to the bearing. Thats the purpose of knowing oil temp....
