Ya no doubt about that , but not many days spent in 3' chop on inland lakes . Most of the chop is created by those F@#!n wakeboard boats . One thing they are good for is catching some air time off...

Unfortunately some of us entry level Fountain owners can't do that , most 27' Fountains with a stock 502 or 496 can barely make it over 67 mph on a consistant...

Ok so thats why they cost sooo much more , all high end internal parts and better heads . Ha and i thought it was just because of that magical blue paint they use .

I guess it would be cheaper just to go with the Whipple supercharger . End result will be around the same HP #'s as the 572 , but with less hassles .

I have an 27' Fountain Fever , stock 502mag efi with a bravo 1drive with 240 hrs . Fastest speed under ideal conditions is 69mph but it can run 65 mph consistantly . Overall i'm happy with the boat...
