Re: what would you do? (boatme)

I re-read the posts in the other thread and IMO you did not come off as any scumbag or anything bad. It did state that you never owned a high performance boat (which was incorrect), but other than...

Re: what would you do? (boatme)

So, what are you now seeking in the deal? I understand the frustration, but did the bill go over $1000? Are you just looking to vent?

Sorry to hear about the problems.

Re: Donzi Factory At The Chicago Boat Show

I was at the show when it opened on Wednesday. One of my first stops was the Donzi booth, and the sales guys were all using black duct tape to cover something up on several of the posters. Not sure...

Re: Donzi--Chicago

I posted this question on another board, and they heard a rumor that Great Lakes Yacht Sales on the Chain might take over the Donzi line????

Not buying a Donzi, just curious to what happened.

Donzi--Chicago

Munson Marine has been advertising for the last 6 months that they were the new dealer for Donzi in the area. However, it was obvious at the Chicago show that they are not part of the mix anymore....

Lake Cumberland Dam In Trouble

The main dam at the west end of Lake Cumberland sounds like it's in trouble. Bad news for all: those downstream as well as marinas, boaters and houseboat renters on the lake. Hope they get it figured...

Re: New Advice on new boat

Where do you boat? How fast do you want to go? How big of a boat do you want? This might get a few more ideas to fit your needs.

Re: New Advice on new boat

Did you look at the 343 Cobalt? I understand it runs nice with twin 525s. It is an interesting combination of decent speed and some cabin.

I like the Formulas the best... happy wife=happy life!

Re: Trailer for 353 fastech, how much $$$$

Steel or aluminum?

I would think you could have one built for about $10K with a lot of upgrades.

Re: Trailer tool box

Our Manning had support brackets (1" square steel tubes) welded to the frame and through bolted to the box.

Depending on the size and guage metal, the boxes can be $80-$500. Most seem to be in the...

Thunderbird Falcon

I remember these boats, but never knew what the relationship was between this and the Formula. Was it Formula's attempt to get into the smaller runabout market without fully using their name and...

Re: Donzi 35 ZR vs Formula Fastech 353...

The only thing I did not like about the Donzi is the cabin... it is very low and more of a cuddy, as you can not sit on the lounges without hitting the ceiling.

Both great boats!

Looking at the Garmin 378 and the Lowrance iWay 600C. I have always liked Garmin, but the Lowarnce has a bigger screen and several other features that I like.

Any experience with either of this...

Re: The new Bird Hauler

I put on the Reese Titan Class V hitch (2.5") and it fits just fine. If you want to doll it up a bit, you can add a nice spinning prop to the receiver when not towing :)

Really, the factory tube...

Re: The new Bird Hauler

We have a 2500 Yukon XL with 4x4, 4.10 and the 496 (2003 black). Ours is loaded and it has been a great day to day and tow truck. My wife drives it daily and loves to be up high.

I added a Class V...

Re: Has BT changed from Bravo drives with so mant failures?

BT did not want to use Konrads, as the boat already has a built-in extension box. By adding in the Konrad box and transmission, they were concerned over the leverage point of the boat. I was told the...
