What would be the average cost to have 500 efi Mercs with 350 hrs rebuilt by a reputable shop? Has anyone done this lately?

I have welded lots of them with sucsess. but if the crack is new or around the thrust bearing race i wouldn't. it will shrink and not shim up right and will not last.

I always had good luck with a product called TUMBLER wax and grease remover. Used it for years without any problems. I find Acetone will just spread wax around.
