Re: Arneson Surface Drives/ Hull / HP / Speed ??

I think prop selection is critical. I have too much transom lift with five blade props on my Pulsedrive - hoping four blade props cure it. On the plus side, I can get on plane instantly. Low speed...

Re: SHOOTOUT fun run-LOTO

I agree as well. It was a nice sized group. Run together, eat together. Last year it was tough to get a seat and the crowd made it hard to meet up with people we know. I think we'll hang around the...

Re: Space and Performance?

Envision makes a 26' mid-cabin. I have owned a 29' and currently a 32' for the same reasons you're looking for. I've attached a couple pics of the 26' from their website, www.envisionboats.com.

Re: Uh Oh, Better Check My Pulse.......

Jeff,

Yes, bow lift has been somewhat of an issue. Currently I can trim up to about 80% of maximum range. Pulsedrive is sending new props with a larger diameter and different rake that should help...

Re: Uh Oh, Better Check My Pulse.......

The pulse is getting stronger! Wow Jeff, you must be pretty bored to dig this up! :D

This year looks to be a good year for trouble free boating. I experienced the Florida Shuffle when I purchased...

Re: Roostertail over Grand Glaize Bridge at LOTO?

I think it was the first year Callan came to the shootout. We stayed at Parkview Place then. They came through early Sunday morning and wet down the underside of the GG bridge quite nicely. :D

Re: Stainless marine

Bertram65,

I highly recommend Trick Marine. Purchased my Stainless Marine exhaust from Trick at very good pricing. A LOT of folks here have used them. Unbeatable service! :D

Re: Arneson Questions...

Sean,

My Pulsedrive powered Envision offers some similarities being a straight vee hull. I have found no greater tendency to porpoise that regular sterndrive powered hulls. If the drives are...

Re: props- mirage vs cleaver/32 pachanga

Try PM'ing G-Force. He has experience with the 32', having taken it from stock to custom power. If you do a search you should find some useful info.

My TMP Story

I decided it would be a good idea to rig my own boat. With the help of an experienced rigger we built a one-of a kind Envision powered by 540CI EFI motors and a Pulsedrive surface drive package. I...

TMP Racing Recovers from Katrina

I was finally able to get ahold of Eddie today. As you know, Slidell was hit hard by the hurricane. TMP's shop was basically destroyed. The roof is gone and they took in 8 ft of water. With estimates...

Re: Best place to launch for LOTO shootout?

toolz,

Yes, public beach #2 is best. Stay on hwy 54 and go over the grand glaize bridge. The turn off is to the left less than a mile past the bridge. When you see the sign for Town and Country...

Re: Big Dick's run at the Shootout.

Looks like this is going to be the biggest crowd ever. I remember all the people I wanted to meet up with last year but didn't get the chance. I suggested to Jim (wiggler4490) that name tag stickers...

Re: Cell numbers for Shootout.....let's have 'em.

Buck,

We met up withG-Force in the back of PC around 11:30, tied up and started reeling in fellow OSO'ers as they showed up. What time would everyone like to start gathering this year????

Re: Help with surface drive.

You might find some info at www.pulsedrive.net. They use the same ujoint assembly that merc uses on the #6 drive - should be beefy enough.
