I had an identical problem with my 2000 Formula, same engines, the problem was a bad fuel pump or ignition relay. I replaced both - they're both the same part number. I am assuming the engine cranks...

Agreed, the long term plan is to toss it, but for right now, to minimize downtime and avoid spending the bucks associated with removing it and adding exhaust tips, I thought I'd try and fix it.

Great engines, of course I may be biased since I have two. Only problem was a fuel pump relay that went bad this year, simple to replace. I also replaced the valve springs and CMI exhaust headers...
