Blume, are those MER built engines?
The market is definately flat. I have a good friend with a sweet one owner 2001 model 35 Fountain with Merc 575's & XR drives that has less then 60 hours and has been very well cared for. The boat is PERFECT. The head has never been used, nor have they even overnighted on the boat. Only down side is he does not have a trailer. He has had it on the market for almost two years and is down in the $130K range himself.
Good luck with you sell, I hope you find a buyer.

I think the 35 Lightnings have been soft since the re-intorduction of the 35 Executioner. For what you guys are asking a newbie could buy a newer boat for the same or less money. I looked in 2004 and could have bought a 35 Exc. with 496 HO's brand new/ 0 Hours for 140K. I know it is a different bottom, power windshield but it is still a 35 Fountain. For me the windshield was the deal breaker, dealer wanted me to buy it and for 5K he would change the windshield out for a race fairing. The Exc windshield is too 1910 for me.
Good luck with your sales, they sound like nice fast boats......

The big horsepower is going to hurt resale. Most buyers are worried how much engine is left inside. Compare to a new 35 Ex with 525's, how much can you buy one for?
