Who has towed 12K lb+ with a Suburban 2500 with Quadrasteer?

I wish it had a diesel, but what are your experiences with this combo? Yes, I know they don't offer it anymore, but they did in 2005. Was it really unreliable? Not sure what the max tow low was for this combo with the 8.1 engine (if available in quadrasteer).
Although I would rather have a diesel dually, this truck seems to make the most sense for NYC traffic, short of a Metro.
Likes, dislikes, reliability of Quadrasteer Suburbans. I already know gas mileage sucks but the tested trailering articles all raved about this combo. <gg>

I believe they only offered the 6.0L with QS, although it did have a 4.10 rear end. The sub maxes out at 12,000 with the 8.1L and 4.10, I think the 6.0L is rated at 10,000 or 11,000. The QS is a sweet set up for towing, however 12,000 would be a rough tow imho.

I am thinking about towing a 30 sonic, 7K plus 2K for trailer and the rest for the junk in the boat. I think it is doable, 12K is for carrying illegals inside the boat as well. jking!
The quadrasteer is supposed to automatically adjust for trailor sway, hence my interest in it.
Ok Byrdman what are you towing with now?
