okay my ground is good, the needle will not move on the gauge so I put a new one in since I will be changing all this winter I put the test light on the red wire on the gas tank still didn't move so is in the sender in the tank float sticking it is a 88 baja?? thanks

Ground the sending unit wire directly. The gauge should go full scale. If it does, then it's probably the sender. If not, check gauge power (because you already changed the gauge).

yes thanks thats what I am doing in the moring. while testing the boat I am tied of topping off the tank 100gals
