Will the new 700sci bolt up to a regular bravo xr or does it have to mount up to that new nxi outdrive only?

as long as there no sensors or other stuff from the belhousing back .I would think if you used every thing from a bravo bellhousing back it would bolt up.I am sure its a aftermarket block like dart

it says that it is designed off the same same motor as the 525. The only reason I was wondering is that they will only sell that new drive with that motor. I was wondering if I could pull my 525 and put in the new 700sci or the 1050sci.

Cool Re: 700 sci

I didn't think a bravo XR would take much over the 700SCI horses?

I was just wondering if they would bolt up or did it have to match up to the new drive system.

In order to get one you would have to find a Merc Dealer to split up the combo for you. But that may get them in trouble with Merc.

Not sure why you wouldn't want to install the drive too? You can leave the engine location right where you have it, drill and cut the transom, and install the drive. I think the propshaft ends up a little over 1" higher than a shorty sportmaster.
I guess there are always other things to think about. Going even higher (mounts, and possibly some consequences on the cutout). Steering, you will need a helm at a minimum. I am sure there are always some other minor problems too.
