I'm thinking of about buying one I found on ebay. It was posted 3 times and never sold. It has a 260 merc and a custom trailer. Seems to be in really good shape other than a couple split seems on the seats. Dealer says it only has 268 hours on it. Any help would be great.... or if anyone knows of one for sale? Also I won't be able to see it before I buy so any advice on having it inspected? I also posted this in the general column... oops didn't scroll down far enough!

Hey grip few things, 1. You can go to NADA and look up boat worth it will give you a ruff idea. 2. if you can find and OSO memeber around that area (every one on here is great most likley find more then a few) And if ur really hard on getting it then you can get a surveyor cost a pretty penny but worth it depending on the boat cost
I know Magnum 25 is selling a 22 velocity contact him tell him i sent you

Hyper, they are sweet boats. My cousin got me hooked on them with his two; a 22 V-8 and a 26 with twin V-8's. I just am not familiar with the outboards as far as working on them. I look forward to seeing all you guys this summer.

I think the one you are talking about on Ebay was the solid red one with the small block in it and it has an Alpha drive which is not always the most desirable.
Here is a real nice one for comparison. I know him personally and he keeps his stuff real nice. I don't think you'll find a cleaner original Steve Stepp 22 (vs. a Regal 22) With the 300 ProMax I think it'll run between 85-90.

Good luck in your search.
