Default Somebody in Germany is about to be really happy.

There is an awesome 28 Evo finishing up at Laveycraft. It seems nearly every one has ended up in Germany......

White Ilmor 710, SCX drive, long K planes, big Garmin map Dual helm........ very cool setup.

Custom dash, lots of custom pieces - heated seats.... (follow on with details)

Great gel work - Dave?

This should give the Ol29 with the 725 and Indy a run for its money. Last I looked that guy claimed 97.

We know this boat breaks 100 with a 710 and a B1...

Just wondering. Why the SCX over the INDY drive?

Good question.

After significant testing of the NSX their raceboat (same bottom design) with it was determined that the the boat handled better with a "regular drive" than surface piercing drives running cleavers

If you look around you will see very few 28 ft stepped V's running surface piercing drives and cleaver props.

If the boat were longer and running duals, the Indy would be a natural choice.

Never thought of that. Surface piercing is probably pretty bad on a single.

Lots of controversy on it. The Arneson guys are pretty confident but thats a different deal.
The guy that bough the OL had quite a time getting it to handle the way he thought it should handle (thats all on here to go look at)

Rather than chance something not working correctly, the Lavey guys went with a package and dimensions they were familiar with.

The SCX cuts a few off the top of everyone whos run it but its stout. Id like to see someone do a before and after with a Rem polish on those gears.

This boat should hit the century mark.

Beside the canopy lots- 28 Evo is a super light layup with foam vs balsa. (both vac bagged) You sit much lower in the boat with the EVO.
29 is whats called a shoebox fit and the 28 basically pops out of the molds ready to rig..
Bucket rear sets vs bench There is typically nothing in the front of the 28 evo but a pad whereas 29's are usually plush up front.

28 Evo and the 2750 share the same bottom. Jr could add more detail.
