Saw this engine in Chicago in January. It is an amazing piece!

It's great to see that we may have a few companies bringing new products to the market with Indmar and Illmor to challenge Mercury. Hopefully this will create a good amount of competition which can only benefit us as the consumer.

Thats the engine merc should have made instead of a 1550 racegas switch flipper

I have mentioned indmars programs a few times in the last few months....god warranties and reasonable prices too...

Do they also have a drive package?

Indmars focus has been the inboard market, wake boats etc so no outdrives.

The bigger-picture story in this, which I touched on briefly, is that Ford is getting back into the marine engine game. I interviewed two representatives from ROUSH at the show at length and I'll have a story based on those interviews (plus an interview with an Indmar rep), next week.

Thanks. That's what I thought, I know in the article it stated they were working on deals with a couple manufacturers to get into the sport boat market. It would be nice to see them come out with there own drive like Illmor and maybe put some pressure on merc.
