Default K plane electronic indicating on simrad orVV

Looking for options on how to install electronic indicating on my Kplanes to my vessel view or simrad. I do have a nema 2000 network already with engine data already on the simrad.

Later style K-planes have a provision for adding Mercury senders, so you would just need the sender and hardware. Since you already have VesselView you can use the Mercury trim harness that connects both tabs to one of your engines. That will let broadcast trim tab position to VesselView and / or Simrad.

GF?

Thanks for the reply. I can get those new senders but still not sure where they get wired into the smart craft system. Will do more reading. I have an old scarab 31 excel and I converted it to twin verado outboards. I am pretty sure the tabs need their own wire harness into the nema network. Hard to find solid info but ill keep searching.

Mercury has a harness and trim tab interface module that plugs into the smartcraft junction box, and the. The Vv needs to be setup as 4 engine from what I understand.

Thanks. ill look into that.

Also maybe this mayfair box will work. It converts analog to nema2000. Could use the merc sensors still I'm sure since its just a resistor.

Depending on the motor and age you may need the trim tab interface unlimited JD mentioned above. Other wise you wire the digital senders directly to a motor, connects to a square 4-wire plug, then set up in the VV or simrad is a little screwy. Im
sure someone at merc or maybe Livorsi can explain the process
