Thanks Seany, at least someone can read a post for what it is and not let their jealousy fog their vision.
Racersdad, if you will read my post, you will see that I very much have my facts in order. I never said that skater weren't not in Dubai, in the EARLY YRS. Hell I loved my 81 trans am too.
But the yrs when Victory dominated the class, when Randy and Gary were at the helm, there were not Skaters and had no similarities to them. Nor are they running skater now.You can live in the past if you want, but the fact is MTI has dominated every class they have participated in, the last few yrs. And all of your Skater teammates have swithched to MTI. All you have to do is look at who is running in Super Cat.
As I stated ealier I like Skater's, especially the new 386, but why do you think Peter changed the tunnel width, looks like maybe your teacher has become the student. And the sport will be all the better for it. Competitoin is good for the sport and makes everyone rethink their ideas. If you don't agree then race a 90's model skater next yr and see how many times you end up on the podium.

Yeah I think you're right. Even the 39 Cigarette was promoting Mercury more than "Cigarette".

I can't remember if you said Randy will have a boat or two in the water for the show? May have to sneak a ride if so.

I know lil G's boat is suppose to be in the water with something new for everyone to see. and I think Randy is going to try to have his new 44 with big sterlings in the water as well but not for sure on that one.

OK lets straiten this out! They are both(randy, pete) talented designers and they both build very nice boats. It just boils down to oppion! I prefer skater, obiosly other people dont!

No need to yell.
I think that is what several of us have been trying to say. The only problem has been the opinion of some that MTI is a copy of skater, it is not, it is a product of Randy and Gary's life long work to build a different boat and I think they deserve some respect for that.
And I as I have stated in almost every post. I think they both build an incredible machine that anyone would be proud to own.

As far as custom boats go, skater is a true custom hull and deck. They will give you any shape you want, any width you name it. Mti gives you a custom cockpit. Alot of the reason for there domination was motor selection most skaters were running merc we all know that sterling is making alot more h.p. put enough power on a log and it will fly.

CRC won a championship, set a new kilo record and dominated the supercat class with merc's.

CRC and Bacardi/Bud Select were running Mercs..

and you can get whatever you want from MTI as well, different hulls, decks, cockpits, bustles... whatever you want.
