Frank ,

Thank you so much !! These cables from your boat are not Teflon lined ( stainless marine ) and along with this type of 33C end is a problem . This is a pull-pull system unlike typical old style 33 C cable that is push -pull . The pull -pull system relies on a spring @ the head unit to retract cable and when you have too long of cable or too many many combined with non-Teflon liner you have the cable being forced back Via Actuator and then the cable gets mangled . I

I use a Tefon lined casing along with much smaller all stainless actuator and non-33 c ends resulting in much cleaner system . Will post pics soon and for example a 2 track complete system from Stainless marine cost 1279 .
My complete kit , everything you need for twin engine OB cost 799.00 shipped and that is for any length cable .

Larry,

I am hoping the instillation changes I made this time, add longevity. If they fail in the future, I will be looking for something different, and remember to call you.

Larry,

Each additional blade adds stern lift.

I had tried 5 blade, CNC, over hub cleavers. They caused too much stern lift, which
changed the angle of attack of the hull, and pushed the bow down, causing a bit of bow
steering. We reduced the diameter and that helped a bit, but I felt it was still an un-safe
situation, and then tried 4 blade props.

The 4 blade, CNC, over hub cleavers, were much better in respect to stern lift, but I still
had some similar concerns. We reduced the diamater, which solved the problem, and this
is what has been on my boat for over 2 years now.

I always was told and always worked on v-hulls were round ear = more bow lift ? Say a Hydro P5-X which is a round ear wont work on my boat ?

Yes, round ear props do generally have more bow lift.

Cleavers generally have less bow lift.

Virtuall any prop design, adding blades, adds stern lift.

Hydro P5-X, isn't that an inboard prop?
