I am blown away by this project! Congrats, thats the first I've seen like this! I didnt think there was enough room, would love more engine compartment and build pics!! Its completely understated how much work is involved in this.. "moved the dash forward a few inches", no easy feat!
I ended up moving the dash 6 inches. At some point in this boat's former life the dash was broke somehow so it didn't look to good to start with and I really wanted to get the weight distribution right.
I figured what better way than to move my fat arse forward a little.
The batteries are right in front of the liner now and CG is about 1/2 inch further forward than with outboards.

More pics when you can. I would love to do something like this to my 25 Ocean Express............... Maybe someday

My Bridgeports were very tired and the transom was soft. Kind of got a bad taste in my mouth for outboards trying to keep the bridgeports running.
I had to buy some motors and replace a transom so I figured I might as well be different and make it easier to work on too.
I'm pretty familiar with the LS platform and all the EFI stuff.
It's taken almost 2 years to get it to this point...
