I used dash switches, there were unused ones from the old 2.5 high pressure pumps. Supplied both from the ignition switch so i would no forget and leave them on. There is no load on the two switch wires. A great addition. The Merc way added to much weight. Watching the voltmeter when running itd never below 13.5-14 volts

Remove the capilanno, install a Charlyn helm for two rams, you will need a steering stem also to mount the Charlyn to. I did not want to look for adapters to get from verado to jic hose fittings so I cut off the merc verado end on the pump shock hose and crimped a jic onto the merc hose. Then it's easy, use existing hoses to rear rams, add pressure hose from pump shock hose to Charlyn pressure port, add return line from helm to pump. It is self bleeding like the steering on my Cigarette. I blew out the old fluid with air pressure. I mounted the pump up front over the tunnel close to the helm. Ran #6 wire to port battery, connected control to two switches. Turned it on, full left to right turns to bleed it out. It works great if you remember to turn it on.
