I talked to Pete yesterday about Steve's boat, and unfortunately it won't make it back to Steve by the end of August. The good news though is the reason WHY it won't make it on time - Mercury is taking the boat to their factory in Wisconsin to dial it in! Because the motors going on Steve's boat are so new and have some subtle differences from the others that have already been rigged, Mercury wants to be the ones to first run the boat and dial it in/prop it. This is priceless imo, and makes it well worth the additional wait. Steve, I promise you, it's all going to be worth it when you do finally get on the water in your beautiful new rig!

I don't think I can wait until spring. I'll send the HD up and drag that puppy to KW in November for you Steve.

That's so funny you say that Sam...........Rik and I were talking about Steve's new rig yesterday and that's what he said he should do! Take it to Key West where it's warm in November - it will already be broken-in, dialed-in and ready to go!

You all should bring your boats! No flights. We can launch in Key Largo and run down as the Outboard BS' ers!
It would be a blast.
There is nothing like running the flats of the keys with 6 inches of water either side of you!

I am with you, but in November the wind Is usually 15-20, and Bahia Honda to Key West, 35 miles is 3-5 feet. That's why I run the Cigarette down there for Race Week.

That's just an equipment check!! I ran inside to Bahia Honda many years ago with a Magellan Nav 5000. Can you still run that way?
