Well no glory today, Had to do a couple things that weren't right before they could run any high end speeds. I received a few more pics today tho. A nice one outside in natural light. Tomorrow sometime testing will resume.

Hey guys, Bugs are probably Canadian Water Stryders. Ha. Well no numbers yet. The crew didn't leave Skater till 9pm on Monday night. Got in around 3am Tuesday. They had some things that needed work. Not uncommon being they didn't test everything before they left Skater. They needed to get to Merc. On Tuesday they found a faulty vessel view which had to be replaced. When they got out on the water for their first run which was in the afternoon they found they had a problem with the power steering pump. They ran to eighty with pretty much no steering. That part had to be overnighted to them which they got around noon. Began replacing it today and it took longer than thought so being it was late and getting a bit rough they decided to go out at 7am tomorrow morning. Motors ran great and extremely quiet before they had to come in. We will have some sort of numbers tomorrow I believe. They may want to wait until its totally dialed in until they release those numbers. Not up to me but I would believe they would be out by friday as long as they give me the green light.

We are hoping for the best Steve. You have been very patient. In the end no matter what the numbers are it is whether or not your happy with the boat. There is way more to these boats and having fun than a top speed number.
You have a beautiful boat that will draw a lot of attention. In the end if you do like most of the boaters out there top speed can be whatever you want it be!!!! I am sure as these motors progress and props evolve there will be gains as time goes on if you are willing to continue to dial it in and try things. I would ask for a list of what Mercury did in dialing it in also. You should request all test data from them. This will help with future prop selections that are coming that are not on the table just yet.
There are other prop companies not wanting to share their knowledge with mother Mercury IMO that have a ton of knowledge in these areas. B Blades, Hering, Dewald to name a few.
Thank you for keeping us posted and sharing your experience with us!

I agree totally.. A top speed number is just that! This boat will be so much fun in the 80 -90 range and the occasional 100+ run.. The boat looks fantastic Steve!

I agree with Helt and Ron it's going to be a real wave crusher and a hoot to run. Top speed is a huge variable on any given day. You will be surprised how well you can run in the 80-90 MPH range all day long and most any conditions.

Good luck and enjoy

Thanx Guys, I agree with you about the top end number. The boat came out better than I ever thought it could. Absolutely gorgeous. And there is a lot more to boating than top speed. I can't wait to get my hands on it and just have it on the lift in my backyard. Its like a trophy all by itself. Total work of art. But there does have to be a top end number so lets get it as high as possible. Ha
