I've raced and owned Skaters since 1993 and I've got to say the outboards with windshields are my new favorite hassle free easy to get around boat. Good luck with the Mod Skate. I know Chris will bust his but to get it done. I would also go with a light grey windshield and no darker. I put a dark windshield on my 28 at first and couldn't see through it safely.
Hey Free, Im curious about the windshield tint as that part of my build is coming up soon. Why the tint instead of clear. Looks like everybody has a bit of it in all their boats. Must help with some kind of sight issue but not sure. Can you or someone help me. Thanx Steve.

I m chose for clear on my windshield to get clear site in every weather condition ,tinted is cool looking but soon as it s become a bit cloudy it mite get to dark and unsafe ,I rather wear some sunglasses when the sun shines and keep safe when its a bit less sunshine .

Tint is for a cool look only as far as I know. I put clear on my 28 and love it. I found a light Grey color that looks cool plus you can see through it. I'm selling that color and will probably make myself a grey set just to test it out on my boat. I think it will work great. But clear is by far the best visibility. Chris just outlined the windshield with paint and it looks great. I'll post pics when I figure it out. Lol

If you are using an Ipad I can walk you through real easy. PC, not so much.

Jim- good seeing you in Miami Bud, your28 is awesome. I got to take a quick ride in it at Skaterfest last year, and Ya it wasn't to clear to look out the black windshield.

Beautiful make over on your 28 Freedom - shows extremely well next to the big Girl...

Does your windshield require a full receiver to be cut into the factory option? If yes, how big of a modification it it?
