I boated all last weekend going from Miami to Key Largo Friday and Saturday and ran all over the place in the 28 Chris rebuilt with the Windshield mod and New 300s . The windshield as LV said about his boat Totaly changes the stability and attitude of the boat. I've raced and owned Skaters since 1993 and I've got to say the outboards with windshields are my new favorite hassle free easy to get around boat. Good luck with the Mod Skate. I know Chris will bust his butt to get it done. I would also go with a light grey windshield and no darker. I put a dark windshield on my 28 at first and couldn't see through it safely.
Thanks for the input. I actually drove your 28 at LOTO. Chris had the clear windshield on it then and it was great. I'm headed back from four days in Chris' shop doing the mockup of dash and windshield. We put your old dark windshield on to check the the height. It has a way cool looks factor being dark! I'm planning on using your light grey. I'll post some update photos on the project when I get home.
