Wow! Thats pretty low for a 22p prop if you have the 496 HO. I wish I had some good information to pass on, but all the Sonic's on our lake are 35 and up. I'm the only little guy. So, it's kind of hard to compare.

If you really want to go up in pitch, try looking for an old 24 Mach. They seem to have a little less stern lift which makes them a little more efficent than a bravo. I had great luck with one on my old baja. Stay away from the Hydro's, I hear they blow out pretty easy on a Sonic. Good luck with it and keep me posted on your findings. Very useful information
Cheers,
JL

BTW: Sorry guys for jacking your thread

Sonicblaster, I have a 2001 Prowler with a 502/415 HP, turns the 22" Bravo 1 5000 RPM with a speed of 63 MPH. When I run my 24" Bravo 1 RPM of 4700 with a speed of 63 MPH (better cruise speed, worse planing). Sounds just like my boat as far as performance. Steve

Steve,

Thanks for sharing your info on your 01' Prowler. I don't feel so bad now with my speed. Thought I would at least hit upper 60's with a 496 HO 425HP motor. Pete

I have a 260 with a 502 mag and 63 on gps is it. I am thinking about a whipple but I would need to upgrade the outdrive. Seems too expensive for a few mph
