Default Question for fellow Sonic Boaters

Hi,

Put the 358 in for the first time yesterday. We were very pleased to say the least!

Can anyone weigh in on why the port trim tab indicator stopped working but the trim tab itself is working????

This is an '02 358 w/ twin 500's.

TY

Mike

I would think you must have a problem with your cable, more than likely at the tab end. Check the cable on that K-plane! Steve

I'm currently working on the cables for the drives on my 31, however the tab cables are the same. Being that you are in the water will make this difficult, any way of pulling it out for a short period? If you disconnect both ends, you should be able to push and pull the cable by hand to see what might be causing the problem. Actually, just disconnect the cable at the trim tab and push pull the cable, should be only about 4" - 6" length you can pull in or out. If it's not working, either end would have to have come disconnected or the cable snapped inside the sheathing which would allow you to pull the cable all the way out. Once you have the one end off, you should find out right away what the problem is. Good luck!!!!
