Does your model have the plastic covers around the fuel/water separator?? I know some do and some don't - and those that did, and were not reinstalled will vapor lock as well.

not a coil problem boat runs great, just shuts off while comming up on plane.
not sure where these plastic covers are that you are refering to? I don't think I have them I'd have to look?

Some have them from the factory - some don't. All I know is they are there with the Cool Fuel system and if you don't put them back - they're known to vapor lock...

Sounds like you have already talked to the guy I was going to suggest, he is on one of the local boards and seems to have that same problem (with the Boss 302). I think he solved it by buying a Cig Top Gun
These has to be some common denominator tho, because if this problem was more prevalent then everybody with a 502 would be having similar problems...
