Since I've been doing nothing but maintenance projects on the boat all winter, I decided to get the drive/tab indicator bezel powdercoated to match the other bezels. This was a much bigger project than I expected. After disassembling the unit, I sent the bezel off to one of the major boat bling suppliers. They proceeded to lose track of it and then finally return it looking like total crap with lots of particles and bubbles in the PC. I ended up finding a local guy who could do the candy blue translucent color. He did an excellent job. Putting this sucker back together was the real trick while trying not to drop the spacers and spring-loaded pointers in the bottom of the hull. It was a lot of work for a little gain. But, I'm happy with the result.

Thanks!
Today I started the final maintenance project on the drives. I've never pulled drives before, but the drive jack-stand from the classifieds and an alignment tool made work easy. Everything looked really good. I'm also switching to Amsoil Severe Gear lube this season.

After seeing the new-style Sonic logo Kyboy1020 recently installed on his boat, I decided to give my boat's name an update. The boat came with this name. While I liked the name, I never really liked the ampersand or the "G" in Gin. Sonic was kind enough to provide the printer with the electronic artwork necessary to bring the name up to date. Thanks, Sonic!

I've wanted to upgrade the stereo since I bought the boat and finally finished today. I used a JL Audio M600/6 amp and a total of 9 JL audio speakers. There are two 6.5" in the cabin. Then, there are six 7.7" and a single 10" sub in the cockpit. The stereo unit is a Fusion that docks an i-Pod internally. It's all controlled by a remote on the dash, so the wife can play DJ. The sound is amazing! I also really like the 3 zones. I can control the cabin, the sub, and the cockpit volume all individually.
