TxHawk, We probably misunderstood, thought you were going to pickup someone and come back....Your boat looks good !!!

CcanDo 09-08-2009 06:30 PM

We saw that pacing Bulldog.....looked good, runs flat and loved that chop....Our gals caused us to stay outside of the gate....They didn't want to get thrown around.

Sorry we missed you. We were trying to beach the three 40's to get some pictures. We then went back to Wood island where Okie and Shark were tied up.

Your boat looks great as well!

TxHawk 09-08-2009 07:01 PM

Not sure if this will work.

yes lets do! i can also get my buddy with the plane to come down if we give him notice.

i use a cannon hg20 with a 40 gig hard drive. the best ive seen yet... i researched most of the reviews. only thing i didnt like is it take expensive software to edit the hd files it creates. and you better have a good computer ready to handle the video too. but all and all... id go canon again

plus ive got the software so if ya need it let me know

Well, he could barely edge me, I think if i switch back to my labbed 24s and get the rpm back up he wont be running with me anymore. Oh, by the way, I had 250 gals on board, full water, and was only at 4600. :coolcowboy:

But, like matt said, he may have had throttle left.

johnnyboatman 09-08-2009 08:54 PM

no really andy your boat looked good running, im still havin battery problems at idle it only shows 10 volts running 12 volts, 4 dead optimas, put two new ones in just so i could take it out sunday then when we left the island i came by your boat lookin for you pulled away then my trim idicaters stuck dont know how. so i had to drive by feel which i do most times anyway, i just wish the weekend would had lasted a few more days.

You mean it's killin ur battterys at idle?

johnnyboatman 09-09-2009 11:22 AM

No They Dont Seem To Be Charging At Idle. Volt Meter Shows Low Then When U Check It With A Volt Meter The Batterys Show 11.49volts, And The One With The Amps Keeps Dropping Even When The Radio Is Off

What a dark, gloomy day at Texoma. I think I`ll just get drunk ...

Velocity Vector 09-12-2009 05:19 PM

What do you guy's use to get Texoma off the boat's stainless hardware? What ever it is? It leaves a crust like film. I can get it off with elbow grease but it's tuff, Can you spay on something before going out that will make it easy to wash it off?

I didn`t think it is bad at all. You should dunk your boat in Possum Kingdom sometime -- that chit is near permanent.

I wipe my boat down immediately after putting it on the trailer. I do one side and wifey does other side. My cleats and rubrail look great. My exh tips on the other hand, don`t look so good. Toilet bowl cleaner will clean the crud off your stainless. Just rinse it off good.

TxHawk 09-13-2009 08:20 AM

I have been trying all kinds of stuff lately. The toilet bowl cleaner is great, but leaves rust marks if you don't rinse well.

CcanDo 09-13-2009 12:43 PM

Try mueratic acid from the harware store, start with 50/50 water to acid, mix liquid soap for a wetting agent and brush it on....rinse well after waiting a minute for the mixture to dilute scale.

Note: Use rubber gloves and safety goggles, the acid will also bleach your clothes.
