WhAAAAAAAAAAAAzzzzzz Up!

Nothing much, making baby's. Got another coming in December/January. Went to the offshore races in Orange Beach, AL. Buyer couldn't close the deal on my Apache. Lost a good buyer in the process of waiting, grrrrrrrrr. Looking at buying a 22-24 pursuit.

Replaced a gas tank in the Houseboat..........

Hello my family friendly boaters. Anybody doing any boating anymore?

TxHawk 03-16-2012 02:15 PM

Not yet, but soon. I am having a guy at the lake finish the Sea Ray.

Funny you bring this thread back to the top. I started it from the beginning just the other day.

You buy a cruiser yet?

Well I'm going boating today........sorta. Were going to overnight on the houseboat and get it ready for spring/summer. We had all new canopy's put on and a few other upgrades.

endeavor1 03-17-2012 11:17 AM

Sounds great. Is the lake full once again?

TON of rain the last few days, so if it wasn't, it will be now.

Lewisville is just over full at the moment, but I expect it will come up another foot or so with all the rain we just had.

FREAKY FAST 03-20-2012 03:10 PM

Yeah, I live on Lewisville and we are currently 1' over full and rising fast! 3/4' since i got up this morning! We'll be headed to Texoma for Memorial Day tho.

WildRooster 03-30-2012 12:39 PM

Anybody been out on Texoma in the last couple of weeks since the last rain? I've never really been out there and wanting to check it out this weekend. Should their be any debris in the water with the recent rains?

TexomaPowerboater 03-30-2012 05:21 PM

Should be fine. My parents boated all day last saturday and sunday. They didn't notice any debri, but that could have changed over the week.

endeavor1 03-30-2012 05:39 PM

Andy,

Any luck with moving the Apache? Hows the family by the way?

WildRooster 04-01-2012 09:11 PM

Wooww.....Texoma was awesome on Saturday. No wind and 85 degrees. The water wasn't too cold near the islands. I can see why this is a great powerboating lake. Had a blast and ran the whole lake since I hadn't been out there. Summer is going to kick azz!!!

TexomaPowerboater 04-04-2012 08:56 AM

Glad you enjoyed yourself Rooster.

Endeavor1/Chris - Family is good. We are excited about summer. Apache is still for sale.........I've sold it twice now, but they never follow thru on their offers.:stooges: Paid my truck off so we may just keep it. The girls really want me to keep it........even grandma is trying to talk me out of it.

carter38 04-04-2012 05:19 PM

We just booked rooms for memorial day! Looking forward to it never been before.

Tanglewood is a nice resort and close to highport where the nightlife is.

VRBO has some cool lakehouses you can rent, some have boat access. Saw this beachfront place. http://www.vrbo.com/382652 Would be a kick azz OSO party place:poopoo::party-smiley-004:

You are in for a treat. Miles of all natural sand beaches and lots of open water. Our place is at the south side of sunset cove, which is a great spot to anchor as well, just anchor on the south side cause the north side is leased by a church.......... Can't go wrong with the islands either, but they can be dangerous as hell; especially the north end of north island. Stay far away from there all together. Many have run aground there including myself.

The lake is up fairly high already and not much beach showing at the moment. Thats pretty typical though; it will drop anywhere from 5-20ft over the summer.

carter38 04-04-2012 11:53 PM

We are staying at grandpappy's I'm here tonight at the best western for business.

WildRooster 05-09-2012 11:19 PM

Where is a good place around S Okla or N Okla to find a nice I-Beam boat trailer?

c_deezy 08-15-2012 03:00 AM

Heading to Dallas for work for a couple of weeks, may have a weekend to goof off. Is there any place good for a civilian to go to for a couple of hours? I've been to Lewisville in the past when I was down there, just wanted to check out Texoma if I have time this trip.

TxHawk 08-20-2012 11:15 AM

If its on the weekend, you can sit at Highport's restaurant and usually see what you want to see.
