Lake Travis 2010

Someone suggested it, so i did it...Happy New Years everyone! Heres to lots of water this year for ya'll!:drink:

Just thought Id throw it out there again, Im off work for another couple weeks so if anyone needs anything done, moved (i have a 06 3500 4x4 dmax), picked up, an extra deck hand:evilb: or anything else..Im available..:party-smiley-004:

boatntrkr 01-06-2010 09:39 PM

no, no extra trailer man.....

boatntrkr 01-06-2010 09:49 PM

i never realized how many people from the central tx area were on here...everytime i see a boat going down the road now im like, hmm, i wonder if their on OSO. lol

I wonder if magnum rents trailers?

HTRDLNCN 01-06-2010 10:06 PM

Just rent a boat slip for the weekend . Easiest way to free up trailer for a couple days .

boatntrkr 01-06-2010 10:06 PM

I used to live in bastrop...cedar creek to be exact...that was a LONGGG time ago.

I hear ya about the magnum, they are pretty proud...i would think someone would rent trailers around here.

If ya need help with anything let me know.:coolcowboy:

You can rent slips on a daily basis?

In2Deep 01-07-2010 01:52 PM

I was down on my dock at Lakeway Marina last night -- and I think I saw a couple of open slips there. I'd bet if you asked and offered a reasonable rate....you could get a temp slip.

In2Deep 01-07-2010 01:53 PM

Why is it the further I move South...the colder it seems to get?

+1 on Magnum. You've made a wise decision if you stay away from them.

Well with over 180 post and 7000 views I think we can close the door on LT 2009. Hope everyone enjoyed the holidays and hope that Lake Travis 2010 will bring us more water.

Lake Level 655.91 this evening

Problem is Lake Buchanan is not coming up as fast as Travis. If we do not get a lot more water we will be right back or lower then where we were last year.

In2Deep 01-12-2010 12:16 PM

I hear we're supposed to get some meaningful rain later this week, and over the weekend.

boatntrkr 01-12-2010 10:23 PM

When is the boat show? Is anyone going?

In2Deep 01-13-2010 11:54 AM

I think the show starts either tomorrow (thurs) or Fri, and runs through Sunday. I was thinking of stopping by Saturday.

In2Deep 01-13-2010 11:55 AM

Starts Friday.

XX14 01-13-2010 04:24 PM

Is it any good?

I checked with Full Throtle and they won't be in attendance. I was wondering if it was worth driving up from San Antonio?

boatntrkr 01-13-2010 09:48 PM

All of the normal dealers are going. You may have been looking at the exhibitors page instead of the dealers page.

We're gonna do our normal boat show saturday thing... attend Saturday, drink a lot of beer, eat dinner downtown, drink a lot more downtown, catch a cab home!

HTRDLNCN 01-13-2010 11:39 PM

I usually skip the Austin one and go to the Dallas one, lot more people off here,Lakepirates and Texashotboats attend that one, we usually get a good group together.

In2Deep 01-14-2010 11:56 AM

When's the Dallas show (too lazy to google right now)?

not sure how much, but its been pretty wet here for the past two days...im not complaining either for once..

HTRDLNCN 01-15-2010 12:42 PM

go to
http://hydromet.lcra.org/#

gives you all the info to the second as far as rainfall, streamflow, lake level, temp,
radar, everything live. pretty cool

so far most the rainfall has been over or to the south of the lakes so it hasnt helped any,
we need rain to the north to raise lake levels.

HTRDLNCN 01-15-2010 12:51 PM

They have revised rain chances for saturday down to 20% and only
before noon,no rain afternoon and sunday clear and 70deg.
Probably be out on Travis sunday if that holds up.

Here's another cool site for all of the lake levels in Texas. Kind of cool if you travel to several different lakes a lot.

Rain over Austin doesnt help lake unfortunately, lake has risen less than a ft since yesterday and there isnt much inflow right now from the north.
We are getting some north of Travis but the bulk of it stayed further south than they had hoped for. Lake will come up but not as much as we need. We need it to be 770 or higher when they resume selling water downstream in march or we will have another low water year.
:(
