Been out 3 times by myself since the Galveston trip. It's still pretty hot out to enjoy an afternoon out on the boat.

Are you going to gain anything from the new superchargers over the old ones?

I might gain a little, although that is not why I changed. I had one old blower that came apart after it was refreshed at the Outlaw Challenge. I've been down all summer.

One broker strung me along while the boat had a offer on it instead of just saying there is money down but I'll let ya know if the deal falls through. Made another offer on one, guy says I'll talk to my wife and let you know, never heard from him again. So shopping hasn't been going so great kind of wish mine hadn't sold as fast as it did!

Nope. They are still working on the Arneson Conversions. I have been helping them a little on a few afternoons. If someone tells you the Arneson Conversions are simple to install, they are not being honest. At least not on a 1994 Cigarette Top Gun. There is so much more that has to be done than just buying Arnesons. I could write a 2 or 3 page report on it. I have learned a lot.....at my expense.

After blowing 2 drives in 2 years I thought about the Arneson Conversion last year. Just that it has never been install on my boat before and i could not come up with the money. I'm thinking of going to go with BMAX drives after I get a job.

I was really considering BMAX drives myself. I just could not resist the $65,000 rooster tail.

@ ud do you think the fact your going up there is helping put a little fire under them? And the rooster tail will make it so worth it!
@ troper have you got her out on the water yet? I thought you were going to go bmax after you blew the drive on the toy run?

On a better note for me, the seller of the boat I made a offer on last week finally got back to me yesterday and took it. So it looks like I'm flying out to look at it and leave a deposit next week, then scheduling all my surveys, shipping, etc. I don't know how much I will be able to use it since my daughter will be born very soon, like two weeks, but I will have it to look at!!!!

Hey Travis,

I have been going to the shop 1-3 days a week. They are only working on it Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Sometimes that does not happen. I have helped them several times. They are working on it and we are slowly moving forward. It's a massive job. You just don't buy Arnesons, cut out the holes, slap the drives on and drop the motors in. I am basically getting a new boat. They under bid the job big time. We are working out a deal where they break even. There is no profit. That was gone by March. Both Gulf Coast Composite and I had no idea how much was involved. In the end, it should be worth the sacrafice of not having the boat the entire summer. At least it better be or I made the worst decision in my entire life.

What boat are you getting?
