SHAME on your surveyor for not sending you up close pictures.
I got almost 80 up close high res pic's of my boat from mine.
My experience was like Urbans, and like his quite a bit was reduced from the contract.
My problem with this boat was 100's of baby pencil head blisters below the freeboard from sitting in the water at the dock from Memorial Day to Labor Day at the sellers summer lake house for 15 years. He also failed to disclose them, the surveyor jumped him over the nondiclosure when he demanded to see the pic's I was sent and told him he'd only get them with my permission.
My counter was the pic's, 3 written estimates for over 10k for repair and new gelcoat, and a new purchase price 10k less than our contracted price. I still haven't done the repairs but keep it on the trailer.

Anyone going to the boat show in Galveston this coming up weekend or doing the poker run with it? The billboards say there is supposed to be some kind of powerboat racing there.

The guys that put on the Texas outlaw challenge... are putting on a pirate boat parade down the strand. The boats will be "the floats"... and everyone is in pirate theme dress

Saturday there's a run from Galveston, to Topwater, Kemah and stopping at The Turtle Club

I can't go. My boat is still in the shop getting the Arneson conversion. I working on the boat all day Saturday and one person helped me.

We will be there! Tom is bringing his 40 to be in the parade. I think the plans are to trailer the boat to Kemah on Saturday and visit Topwater and Turtle Club by land. Staying in hotel on Nasa Rd 1 Saturday night.

If I end up with a day off this weekend I might run down and check it out.
