I live my winter life thumbing thru webcams looking for rideable snow when snow is scarce. Nothing better than seeing the conditions live.

Naples and Marco Island are far enough away from the Caloosahatchee River to be effected by the lake run off. Also, I boat and live right along the river, I haven't seen anything close to the horror story the media likes to report. Sanibel is a great relaxing resort island. No franchise restaurants or fast food. Very laid back with tons of nature, white sand beaches loaded with shells and smaller resorts. Fort Myers Beach is more tourist trap style but still relaxing.

Guess who holds the chair in the Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Oceans, Atmosphere, Fisheries, and Coast Guard ?

Rubio. Who's from FL and a Florida Senator.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United...nd_Coast_Guard

The Subcommittee on Oceans, Atmosphere, Fisheries, and Coast Guard is responsible for legislation and oversight of matters that impact our oceans, coasts, and climate, including: coastal zone management; marine fisheries and marine mammals; oceans, weather and atmospheric activities; marine and ocean navigation; ocean policy and NOAA.

The Subcommittee is also responsible for overseeing the Coast Guard, which includes the safe and secure operations of vessels entering the United States or transiting through the USA's Exclusive Economic Zone and the enforcement of maritime laws to support maritime commerce and protect marine living resources.
