How much for insurance??
#1
Well I think my last post was poofed......Why?..I don't know...
Anyway, I have a friend looking at a 2000 30ft Spectre with 500hp's and blowers (whipples, I think...) I told him the expensive part is the insurance. The guy he is buying it from said he has State Farm and pays $500.00 per year......That's $600.00 less than I pay for my Baja 38 Special....
What is the going price on insurance??
I've heard that only two company's cover them, which two??

i have a 30' w/ 500's but no whipples, yet
, they rated mine at 95 MPH and state farm wouldn't insure it... you have to watch them, they insure alot of boats that they don't have a clue about.... i went to total dollar and got mine written through markel for 4k a year.... my 2002 29 outlaw was only costing me $1100 a year before that.... i bet with whipples it would be about $4500-5000 if they have a clean record...

I have never insured my cats but that price sounds good! I installed a GPS tracking system so that I can have an excuse to use my 45. You take my boat you will say hello to my little friend! Can you post your agents number? He may have a way getting the boat thru underwriting.
thanks
