I know Bruce Gibson (and Myra - his wife) is coming with their brand new 43' Nortech called "Nashville Cats". Wow, what a boat! He's looking to kick my butt also this year. I won't be in the Poker Run, but I wll be around. I am testing for my TaeKwonDo Black Belt this Saturday at 11:30 AM. Wish me luck!

I Passed! Passed! We tested from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. At the end my TaeKwonDo instructor placed a black belt with my name on it around my waist.

Actually, you are called Master when you have achieved the rank of 6th Degree. That takes about 20-25 years of hard work studying under a Master. 1st degree black belts are referred to as Mister or Sir. Until you reach Black Belt level you are referred to as a "Colored Belt" and you are not allowed an opinion. Also, you are not allowed to speak to a black belt until you are addressed by a black belt. How demeaning. Traditional TaeKwonDo is very militant, but that's the way it works.

It took me 2 years at 4 times/week plus practice everyday. Some people it takes a lot longer. Our Instructor is terrific. Come join us! You will love it.

His name is Trink Cook. We call him Mr. Cook. His school is called Moneta Tae Kwon Do Academy. If you know where the Dairy Queen is on Rt. 616 (near Food Lion)... he is in the big building next to the DQ. Go around the back and down to the lower level.
