Default Zip-on bow cover?....

How much are the zippered bow cover extensions for the 288 and do they require snaps to be installed or are they tight enough to travel down the road with, or not made for trailering??......

Hey Reckless288 I'm 99% sure that the cover snaps around the hull, and checking on the price guide on the Sunsation site it looks like around $600

I got mine from the factory and it is GREAT!

It zippers to the rear cover right in front on the windscreen and there are snaps that go under the rub-rails that also work perfectly. You can't trailer the boat with it on - or should not. Trailering; it fills up with air and it makes the boat look like a whale...or like a Bayliner...

There's a pic of it on my web site.

Hey guys,

Yes we do tow with the bow cover on the boats, it might look
like a killer whale going down the road but it works well. I've
towed from Michigan to California and back and many other trips
all without mishaps.

Dave, to get one should I contact you folks or go thru my dealer Extreme Offshore? Is the price for just the front as stated above or was that for the whole package?

Rick,

Yes, Give Mike & Sue a call for your order over at Extreme, they are your servicing dealer and will treat you right, price posted is suggested retail pricing. I'm sure Mike & Sue will be extremely fair with you, let me know if there's anything else I can do to help.

MIKE AND SUE GOT MINE AND INSTALLED IT! YOU DON'T SEE ANY OF THE SNAPS UNLESS YOU REALLY LOOK FOR THEM. DON'T TRY RUNNING WITH IT ON, ABOUT 25 IT TURNS INTO A 20' CONTAINER OF JIFFY POP!

Hey Rick, I have a full cover with the zipper just past the windshield so It can be used as a cockpit cover. Always take the short one when I am spending the nite at a marina. It works great both ways but it is as tight as a banjo string so you need to know how to put it on or you will never get it snapped. The snaps are not easy to see because of the Dominator hull design. I have not towed with it on but I would not hesitate if the need arose. If you come up for the Hooters get togather I will give you directions to the marina I keep the boat and you can check out the cover.
