Hello,

This is the best pic I could get. My boat has a problem where the hull gets stuck. Sometimes I can’t go past 50 at full speed and I have to hit a few waves to go faster.

Are you running on a flat lake all the time??
Thanks for the Pics.

Hello,

I drive on both. I’m on a smaller lake so the waves aren’t too bad but I’ve had the problem on both calm and choppy days.

Mine Does the same thing. My tube is long gone. Figured it had to do with the tube missing.

wsinglem 04-03-2023 09:12 AM

Anyone still got the "Tube" attached from last year?? :lolhit:

Was at the 2023 Sunsation Fun Run, Street Fair and Tiki Barge party:champs:
Had a great time

But, did not see one vent tube on any boats there .

Rougher water sometimes does help the boat get "unstuck". Real flat water you are probably going to have an issue. The tubes do actually work. Just a quirky engineering feature! 3M 4000 Sealant should work well on holding it as long as the surface is prepped properly. I can walk you through the process if needed.

Quirky? I thought those pictures were a joke.

So....what wasn't engineered correctly with the factory design that made this "feature" a thing? Are the steps not deep enough?

Seriously, I am curious.

Just let me be clear that those photos are NOT from the factory like that. The original tubes from the factory were stainless steel then changed over to a pvc material. Most people don't even realize they are there. It breaks that suction to the water and helps aerate the step area. There are other boat manufacturers out there that have similar features. Some are built right into the step. I say it's quirky because it's not a common thing you see out there but it serves a purpose. It all has to do with the design of the stepped hull. Our engineer here can give you more info on it if you ever need it.
