There are other boat manufacturers out there that have similar features.
Can you name one?

Not the same thing. I understand the need to vent the notch.

I'm interested in the other manufacturers installing tubes running along the inside of the step.

It's not the same type of boat but Beneteau uses a similar process. It's just bonded into the hull. https://www.proboat.com/2018/11/bene...step-hullform/
I've read that Outerlimits tried this in the past. This was long ago so hard to remember. If you look up airstep hulls some various articles coming up explaining this technology. This is not something we currently do on our hulls now. Only the 288 had this design. If you want more info on the subject please call our office and talk to Dave in engineering. 810-794-4888.

I know I've seen pictures of hulls that had holes in the steps that allowed air to be drawn through them from up high into the step. It's been awhile but I was thinking the Scarab AVS hulls might have been one of them with it's steps being angled aft instead of being angled towards the bow.
Regardless, I think the tube addition was a great way to introduce air into the step without any negative effects. They didn't ever have to add the tube but they did due to some outside the box thinking and it obviously helps.
