That is what I thought, but as you know, I am not an offshore history buff, just there for the racing, and a few(too many) beers

DriveGuy! What have you been smoking! There was never an F2 boat with 525's that ran 100. I was in Formula's, Donzi's that at best, could do 91-93 in race trim. How can I take a boat, twin 500's that might do 88, and compete in P3! When I can not get to 95!!

Better yet, give me a similar F1 (SVL) with a 525, and I will compete happily agaisnt twins in the right conditions, big water, (can't do it). And I will earn my victories! You you to understand bracket racing, better yet, perfect it, as we have!!!

You know I dont let that little race thing stop me, heck the race is only one of the 24 hours in a day(hence the reason I normally dont get in the boat)

Hey rv 1, I never said and i am very aware that there was never a f2 boat that ran with 525 close to 100 f2 fell apart way before 525 days. I am comparing asingle engine boat that has to work to run 85 verses a twin anything, they should not be classed the same. Im not sure about your perfecting bracket racing but there is a minipulation of excellation and speed. you can gear and prop a boat to excellorate to particular # and you can say all day long that the boat only runs X # for speed. If that Offshore Racing to you I quess the majority of boat racers should change to suit the few that dont want to run a boat to its potential.
