Got the chance to try a new prop this weekend. Motor is a 540, don't know HP but been estimated around 575. Got the boat with a 26 4 blade bravo1. Tried a 25 Hydromotive P-5 X5 Blade
I have not had a chance to compare WOT #s because I have an oil leak and not used to the boat yet, but here is what I got
bravo
3500 rpm 45 mph
5400 rpm 76-78
Hydro
3500 rpm 51 mph
5200 rpm 76 mph, had more left in it
I think I will be able to see 80 when I know how to run the boat better.

The rev limiter is set @ 6200. This is a carbed 540 custom built, but not for me. It's power is made between 4200 and 5400 rpm. Not sure "where" max rpm is. I still need a lot more seat time!

If your power starts going down at 5400 then you should prop for 5400. What gear is in the drive 1.5 or 1.36? When I had my bravo setup my gear was 1.36 also with a 540 and spinning 5400 with a 26. Never tried other props.

Rumor has it the lefts are faster than the rights because it equalizes the mota torque. I purchased a right but it turned out to be a left. The price was rite so I couldnt *****.Althouigh now I should because props are very hard to find.
