Y2K Questions
#11
Hey Jayhawk,
I own a 24' Super with drop down bolsters. If I'm running fast (above 60), I feal much more in control when sitting. I do like to stand when the going gets rough (2+ft waves) though. I have spoken to JC about bolsters in the Y2K. He will build it anyway you like. In fact he did deliver a Y2K with two sets of seats to a customer this spring. But from what I hear there is no need to stand in the 30' Super in any kind of water. Now if I can get one of these guys to take me for a ride...
By the way, I'm only 5'7" tall and I tower over JC...

Yeah, we need to get a ride in one too. I don't have anyway to make a firm decision until I'm in one. Unfortunately, no one around here has one that I know of. Pat, being 5'-7", where does the gunwale hit you?

Jay,
I don''t see any problem with the vortec. Fasteddy is running a Y2K with one.
As for JC's Y2K, He has the guages in the dash, and the deck is almost ready to be put on the hull. You can probably get a demo pretty soon. It's late and I had a nerve racking day, otherwise I would put the pics of his boat up. I'll try to get them up tomorrow.

If we wanted to make an appointment with JC to come look at the boats while up that way later this month, where should we stay hotel wise? Being from the south, I have never stepped foot in New York and have no idea what we would be driving through to get to Superboat. We'd be coming from Hershey, PA. It looks like we'd be driving through Queens, the Bronx, all those places you read and hear bad things about. I'm not trying to stereotype, but I don't want my wife to be in fear while driving through NYC. Also, how difficult will it be to navigate through NYC?
