A WORD OF CAUTION , I AM NOT LOOKING FOR ANY TROUBLE WITH ANOTHER BRAND BOAT OR BOAT BUILDER. BUT 45 K IS QUITE A LARGE CHUNK OF CHANGE. I CAN ONLY WONDER THE EXTRA OPTIONS I COULD HAVE PUT IN MY BOAT FOR THAT AMOUNT.

At Least activator Has A Brand New Mold Not Like A 20 Year Old Out Dated One With the Steps In The wrong Spots If You Guys Made A New One Then Maybe You Could Keep Up With The All The New Designs That Are Out There

John,
No body is knocking Activator. In fact, I personally think they make a beautiful boat.
Their 27', now 29' foot with a 2' intergrated swim platform is faster then our 30', 32 foot with intergrated swim platform. Garys 29 prop hit bottom and was sent out fro repair. Prior to that grounding, he was running 79mph, now it's 77.1 mph.
At the trials, Gary had a full tank of fuel ( 100 gal. ), as requested by Speedboat mag. Activator's tank wasn't filled.
Our 32' Y2K was only 2.9 mph slower the 29' Activator, which was fully dialed in with a shorty sportmaster and 6 blade Herring prop, not a prop that merc had to remove 5% of the blade area to repair, like Gary's.
I think the Y2K runs very respectable for it's age.
If it aint broke........ don't fix it.

Hi JD how you been, I waited all summer for you to come down the shore. My point was never to bash the other brand boat, as a matter of fact there are two of them at the jersey shore , and they a REAL FAST GREAT LOOKING BOATS, my only thought is a Y2K with the same power would be quite a big difference in price makeing it a lot more realistic for the average guy to get into the sport...............Gary
