If someone is to keep the boat on a trailer, then the smaller boat is simpler to move around. But if it sits on a lift all season and the trailer only comes out to put into winter storage, or just get rid of the trailer and have it hauled, then trailering shouldn't be much of an issue. But then it becomes more $$ seasonally.
So, if you are going to be trailering a boat all the time, the smaller boat, being easier, becomes cheaper annually. Just for storage, I was spending approx $5000/yr. And this number would not change much if it was a 28-32ft boat. |

The fellow that started this thread does not own a boat. For him a 24' is a likely a better place to start, and for more reason than just pure $$. The rest of us that are debating 24' vs 30' are a bit more experienced. My opinion still remains that there is still a good market for the 24' Super and even better if the design was updated... :drink: |

I think a Cherokee would be fine for a 24' Super. As for towing with my Wrangler; it can be interesting to say the least. I have to make sure I'm lined up straight when I launch because the boat will drag the Jeep down the ramp until she starts floating... :rolleyes: Over the road is OK if I stay under 55 and the trailer brakes are working. |

There are boats out there for varied selling prices. I actually like the blue one in the classifieds now. And for northerners, it will have a greater following than the panteras.
