Call Superboat for the decals.
Dave has already suggested a 4 blade prop. He and I both run 28p Bravo I props. A 4 blade prop may be a click slower than the 3 blade at WOT but the boat will be more stable. I had suggested to Cordell that he try a 24p or 26p Bravo I as the engine in your boat is a higher revving machine than Dave's or mine.
One other upgrade you may want to consider is converting your helm to full hydraulic. At speeds above 75mph it is widely recommended to have a full hydraulic system.
The boat will track like it's on rails with a full hydraulic steering system and a 4 blade prop.

You won't have any trouble hitting 80 with 500 HP. Good advice from Pat about the steering. I converted to FULL hydraulic last year and it made a noticable difference.

Cordell did mention how he had tried a 26p Bravo and I will definitely be on the hunt for one this winter. Said it definitely helped to eliminate the chine walk on the top end....I am not as concerned about losing a few mph on top end to gain all round better acceleration, mid range and riding characteristics. Interesting about the full hydro. steering, never thought about it....what does it ad on top of the external steering. Boat seemed tight on the upper end but like I said I didn't go much past 3/4 throttle

The difference between a "Add On" and a "Full" hydraulic steering system is the helm.
The Add On system utilizes a cable helm and the stock Merc power steering directional valve. The external steering ram is plumbed to the internal piston/valve.
A Full hydraulic system has a hydraulic helm, no cable, so the external ram or rams are controlled directly by the helm. This is a lot better because any play from the cable helm and cable connection at the stern is eliminated.

Yup he bought it this past spring. He was saying that he sold his cig and got boat itch, which was when he picked this boat up. I guess he bought it from a board member in Indianna who bought it from Gary back here in NY.

I have a new Bravo I 26P lab finished that came on my 24 that I would consider selling.

Motor started as a 365hp 454 mag from the factory. Shop near Albany built the motor up to what it is now. Tore it down to the block checked the bottom end and then rebuilt her back up using all the top notch parts....have the list and the dyno numbers with my paperwork. Motor was built to be a blower motor but Gary opted not to go that route. Part of the reason I think it is such a solid motor. Dyno print outs showed peak hp at 499 horses. No hour meter so I can't tell ya how many hours. Have a pic at home of the motor on my other computer, that I will throw up when I get home. Motor moves this boat quiet well. It is interesting to see that with the new hulls only 375hp is pushing the hull very close to 80. I noticed that there was the option of the light layup hull....what did this entail?
