fUNNY SH!T!!! Really gas prices are a concern of mine too!! I'm gonna stick with my 525 single for a while... I guess I'll just wave as everyone blows by me...When I did my headgasket recall this past winter, Ocean Performance was trying to push me over the fence to whipple it. :rolleyes: I think I'll just ride my warranty for the year !st.

The only time the whipple will hurt fuel econemy is in the upper rpm range. Cruising might be a little better.

When I did the Hot Toddy run I ran 4000+ rpm the whole time and my fuel guage didn't budge, and that was with a 540. Now that I have a Whipple, I'll give better info in the spring :D

The baby is do the end of September by our estimation.
We have an ultrasound scheduled on the 30th. That's why I was supposed to keep my trap shut. :rolleyes:
But hell, she's telling her friends, so I'm starting to tell mine... :drink:

Give me a break about the fuel costs.
Summer of 04 fuel was $2.90/gal.
Summer of 05 fuel was 3.60/gal.
So thats a 25% increase?
If you 100 gals a week for 10 weeks, thats 1000gals.
I think thats a fair amount, correct?
So thats $700 more a year? add 50% for my bad judgement
So thats $1050 a year? for this sport?
That would be for 1500 gals. I don't know what you guys burn, but I filled up at most 7x last yr at 50gals each time.
So thats only 350gals. So even a $1 more per gal wouldn't come close to stopping me from going out.

How many gals did you put in last year?

If someone is worried about $1000 one way or another they should buy a blow boat... :rolleyes:

I put approximately 75 hours on my boat last year, probably less than 1000gal. I went to the gas pump once a week with a Ben Franklin; some weeks it bought 40gal some 30gal. I guess I didn't travel as far when the price went up, but never did $3.00+/gal gas keep me off the water.

I'm not happy about the rising fuel costs ( who the f%#k is ) but it is what it is. :mad: However I will be boating until the day I die, Why............WE LOVE IT !!!! 2005 we put 100 hours on SUPERBABI, I never kept track of the fill ups ( perhaps 20-25 times ) If gas prices were to get out of control ( like there not already ) we would just put less hours on the boat in the year :( Damn what did he think gas would go down to a DOLLAR PER GALLON. :rolleyes: Take that BEAUTIFUL Y2K down to your home state and be proud of her, she is one of a kind. :D
