Gary could name it superbabi the dark side, I dont think he likes black. Mine would be all black. Mite be alittle hot to the touch, mite work as a kid repellant.

Kendle, Mike , Daves Y2K sure is a great looking boat, and what a fair price that is. I'm sure that Y2k will sell in no time. Black looks great, but thats not my color choice. Best of luck on the sale of your Y2k Dave. Are you gonna build another anytime soon ????:D

Trying to get some MDG y2ks out there,we will be building another one once this one is sold, can custom rig one to anyones budget and power level.John and rick are great to work with and i would like to help sell and promote there boats and my motor packages.Jason and i are planning on racing one in the near future,he will be 18 in about a year(legal age to race).I am also working on getting this boat in some magazines really runs nice

Dave...I forwarded your add to Coleman. All he could say was "Holy Chit... 800 hp from a single 4 barrel"! That Y2K should be sitting in my drive way. Great package period and
rigged by a professional.

So whats the latest?

What do you do about the torque roll if any?

FASTERDAMITT 09-11-2007 04:26 PM

Mine has no torque roll after she gets moving and on top the wate, say 50 - 95. When cruising under 50 I just use a tab on one side.

Boat runs real neutral using left prop, the only time you need to drag a tab is if you run the boat by yourself at speeds under 60,moving both batterys to port would help, but not a big deal usually always have passenger and if you have three people put the rider in back on port side.

Elite Marine 09-18-2007 07:54 PM

I'll try some ballast to see if it helps. Once i pull the tab up, seems like I'm either rolling or steering too much to keep the boat clean. Big issue!!

What's a Superboat hull going for partially rigged less engine and drive :D

Whats the top speed/RPM and prop you've been successful with so far?

About the same as you paid for your 28' Pantera hull 3-4 years ago. A lot less than you'd pay for a new 28' Pantera hull these days.

Kirt the superboat runs real nice with the Konrad set ,you need to come down for a test ride, the boat seems to run the best with a hydrop5x-29 turning around 5900 at around 93-94 on a decent day .I am going to run the boat with the weather a little cooler and i think in agood chop 95-96 is possible. The y2k hull is very reasonably priced and it depends on race or standard layup and interior options, with the power you have the y2k will easily run over 100,come on down for a ride before it gets too cold .
